Argentine football legend Diego Maradona has announced that he will return to Gimnasia which is a club in his country two days after quitting the side.
He quit the club after eight matches where Diego Maradona was only able to win three games and lost five encounters.
Diego Maradona however announced on Friday, November 22, that he will return to Gimnasia immediately.
His contract was due to run until the end of the League season on December 8, but he walked away from his post with three fixtures remaining.
“I want to thank the fans and the players, because among all of us we finally got the political unity of the club,” he said on Friday.
“I hope they comply with the reinforcements they promised me,” Diego Maradona explained on his social media page.
Gimnasia are currently at the bottom on the League standings, and they will host Arsenal de Sarandi on Sunday, November 24, in their next game.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Giannina who is the daughter of Argentina football legend Diego Maradona raised a serious concern over her father’s health status after claiming that he is ”dying from the inside”.
The 30-year-old ex wife of Sergio Aguero raised the alarm on social media even though she did not mention the name of her target in her comment.
She posted in the wake of Maradona’s 59th birthday and left most observers in little doubt that Giannina was pointing the finger at her father.
