Five feared dead in Delta auto crash

Five persons were, Monday, feared dead following a ghastly accident involving commercial bus and a saloon along Asaba/Kwale Expressway, Delta State.

Many other occupants of the vehicles sustained various degrees of injuries, The Nation learnt.

It was gathered that the accident occurred near Ossissa, Ndokwa East LGA.

An eyewitness who identified himself as Joshua Nduka, said the accident occurred when a Mazda driving from the Kwale collided with a Toyota Hiace bus belonging to Agofure Transport line.

He said a diversion on the road due to ongoing construction, forced motorists drive against traffic.

Contacted, the Deputy Sector Commander and Head of Operations, Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Delta State Command, Mr. Bakare Fatai Adesina, via a text message said: “They called me from call centre in Abuja, about it. But I cannot confirm the number of casualty.”
