A video of Prince Obieze Nestor has emerged online in which he could be seen daring the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to arrest him while inspecting a Rolls Royce Phantom 8 2020 model.
In the video that was taken weeks before dying in Dubai police custody, the Nigerian man inspected the car and dared the EFCC and FBI to come for him. He said he would settle them if they did.
The businessman said he would be bringing the car to Nigeria after buying it. His friend could also be seen in the video buying a Bentley car.
Nestor was arrested by Dubai police after he posted a video on Instagram flaunting wads of dollars. He was said to have died in detention.
Reports have it that he was detained and denied access to his lawyer and girlfriend. He allegedly died during interrogation and his body has been deposited in the mortuary.
In other news, Gal Pissetzky and Vicki Podberesky, the international lawyers representing suspected Nigerian fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Ray Hushpuppi, have applied to withdraw from the young man’s case.
The United States lawyers said they took the decision because the Nigerian national stopped communicating with them and has hired new legal practitioners to take over his case.
The Nigerian man, who was based in Dubai before his arrest, is facing internet fraud charges and currently in detention in the United States.
Pissetzky and Podberesky reached the decision to withdraw from the case after months of negotiations with the US government.
