English club Wigan Athletic has confirmed of signing one time Super Eagles invitee Viv Solomon-Otabor.
Viv-Otabor signed with the Latics until the end of the 2020-21 season, on the Winter transfer deadline day.
“We are delighted to confirm the re-signing of winger Viv Solomon-Otabor until the end of the 2020-21 season.” Wigan said in statement on their website.
The 25-year-old initially joined League one club in a short term deal back in September 2020 but his firm incredible form earlier in the campaign encouraged the club to extend the deal.
The former Birmingham city star is currently recovering from the three-month injury sustained in Latics’ draw with Plymouth Argyle at the DW Stadium in October.
Before sustaining injury, Viv-Otabor featured in 11 league matches for Wigan and he contributed three assists.
The former CSKA Sofia player earned his first Super Eagles invitation in 2019 as replacement for Samuel Kalu in the friendly against Brazil.
